Monica New is not your average therapist. She blends real talk with real tools to help you actually move forward—not just vent. With 10+ years of experience (and a past career as a licensed physical therapist), she helps clients break out of dating loops, ditch the same-old arguments you have with your partner, and reconnect with what matters—whether it’s your partner, your purpose, or your sense of self.
Her style is grounded, collaborative, and creatively tuned for those navigating modern love, anxiety loops, trauma echoes, reigniting creative sparks, or finding new ways to communicate with your partner. If you’re ready to turn “What is happening?!” into “I’ve got this,” she’s your person.
EMDR certified- all types of trauma. She utilize mindfulness, meditation, psychodynamic theory, solution-orientation combined with somatic awareness. Life may require change for fulfillment in your self and in relationships with others. Many clients have not had traction with other therapists before our work together. Anxiety can show up in so many ways—racing thoughts, constant worry, difficulty sleeping, irritability, or even physical symptoms like tension and a rapid heartbeat. In therapy, we’ll work together to understand what’s driving your anxiety and how it’s showing up for you. I’ll help you develop practical tools to calm your mind and body, shift unhelpful thinking patterns, and feel more grounded and in control.
Depression can feel like a heavy weight that makes even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming. It can affect your energy, motivation, relationships, and sense of self—often leaving you feeling isolated or stuck. You might be going through the motions on the outside, while silently struggling on the inside.
In therapy, you don’t have to carry that weight alone. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. We’ll explore what’s contributing to your depression, whether it’s life circumstances, past experiences, or patterns that no longer serve you. I’ll help you develop tools to navigate difficult emotions, shift negative thought patterns, and reconnect with hope, purpose, and self-compassion
Stress is a part of life—but when it starts to feel constant, overwhelming, or like you're always on edge, it can take a serious toll on your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Whether you're juggling work demands, family responsibilities, health concerns, or just trying to keep up with the pace of everyday life, it’s easy to feel stretched thin.
In therapy, we’ll identify the sources of your stress and how they’re affecting you, both internally and externally.
Every relationship faces challenges—whether it's communication breakdowns, trust issues, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from your partner. In couples therapy, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard and understood.
Our work together focuses on helping you identify patterns that may be causing conflict or distance, and learning how to replace them with healthier ways of connecting.
Trauma can leave deep emotional imprints that affect the way we think, feel, and experience the world—even long after the event has passed. Whether you’ve been through a single traumatic event or a series of overwhelming experiences, healing is possible.
I offer trauma-informed therapy with a gentle, client-centered approach, and specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)—an evidence-based treatment that helps the brain process and release traumatic memories. EMDR doesn’t require you to talk in detail about the trauma. Instead, it helps you reprocess distressing experiences so they no longer feel as painful, triggering, or disruptive.
Whether you're facing a specific challenge, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating a life transition, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, individual therapy offers a space that’s just for you.
In our work together, you’ll find a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We’ll work collaboratively to uncover patterns, build insight, and develop tools that support your growth and well-being.
